This property refers to the number of bits per pixel in the image set in the Layer(Index).Image property. The index can range from 0 to 99.

Value Explanation
1 2 color (i.e. Black and White)
4 16 color
8 256 color
16 16 bit color

Explanation

The BitCount property refers to the number of bits per pixel in the image set in the Layer(Index).Image property.

When the Layer(Index).Image property is set the value of the BitCount property is automatically set.

This property is not valid for vector images.
